The Ackland Art Museum will host a special curator-led tour of its current special exhibitions. Peter Nisbet, deputy director for curatorial affairs, and Lauren Turner, associate curator for contemporary art, will lead guests through the galleries and share their insights into the exhibitions.
During the tour, the curators of “Continental Shift: Recent Acquisitions of African Art” and “Care and Concern: Recent Acquisitions of Modern and Contemporary Art” will discuss how these recent acquisitions have expanded and shaped the museum’s collections of African and contemporary art.
The tour is free, but space is limited. Registration is required through the Ackland’s event webpage.
