One of the world’s largest and most influential modern dance festivals marks its 93rd season, spotlighting Pilobolus.
The company brings a new work, Virtuous & Vicious, along with several classics to ADF this summer. In Lamentation Variations Project, Pilobolus honors the centennial of the Martha Graham Dance Company with an interpretation of Graham’s seminal Lamentation. On the Nature of Things draws on a rich tapestry of intellectual, historical, and artistic sources, including the philosophies and works of Da Vinci, Milton, Vivaldi and Stravinsky. Nocturne explores how real-life sounds influence dreams and vice versa, while Day Two is a high-energy classic depicting the second day of the creation of the world.
