Skip to main contentCentro, downtown Raleigh’s beloved Mexican restaurant, is celebrating its 19th anniversary with a special five-part dinner series beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8.
The opening dinner brings together Centro owner Angela Salamanca and guest chef Bill Smith for a four-course meal and welcome cocktail. The dinner is $120 per person and includes gratuity.
Dinner includes:

Paricutín Spritz, a mezcal cocktail brightened with lime and avocado leaf cordial and finished with a black salt rim

Cóctel de camarón served with house-made corn chips

Tamal de calabacitas, a pumpkin grit tamal with pumpkin mole and fresh herbs

Corned ham taquiza served with fresh corn tortillas, oregano-pickled onions, chiles toreados and two salsas

Atlantic Beach Pie, the salty-sweet lemon pie Smith helped make a North Carolina favorite
