Are you interested in local history? Are you looking for a meaningful way to get involved in your community? Join the Chatham County Historical Association for a Volunteer Information Session on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m. at the Historic Courthouse. Learn about the many opportunities to help preserve and share Chatham County’s rich history through museum staffing, tours, school field trips, special events, re-enactments, archives, research, cemetery preservation, community programs and more. All are welcome to join the volunteer team, whether you have a few hours or a month or more time to give. No experience is necessary – just an interest in history and a desire to make a difference!
