Duke Arts Create: Gourd Bowl Workshop

Community Workshop: Open to All — No Duke Affiliation Required!

Using carefully prepared materials, participants will learn to attach and coil longleaf pine needles around a gourd, crafting a unique bowl. All materials will be provided, including hand-harvested longleaf pine needles from the Sandhills of South Carolina.

The workshop welcomes all experience levels as participants explore the traditional art of coiled basketry, blending natural materials into a beautifully crafted piece. The workshop will be taught by Teresa Dunlap.
