Step into the past with the Chatham County Historical Association’s Downtown Pittsboro Historical Walking Tour Series. Each month CCHA explores a new theme, bringing to life the story of Pittsboro’s streets, buildings and the folks who lived here. Walk through history with and discover how downtown Pittsboro has evolved through the years. The June tour focuses on “Transportation.”

Join and learn how roads, rails and other modes of transport shaped growth, commerce and daily life in Pittsboro. Follow the routes that connected downtown to the wider world in centuries past. Discover how the development of these routes changed how and where people moved and settled around the county.
