5 Points Gallery is proud to present “Durham Sweet Durham,” a new exhibition of oil paintings by featured artist Jim McKeon celebrating the vibrant soul of the Bull City through crisp realism and touches of fantasy. Familiar Durham landscapes become evocative scenes of memory, community, and place, from historic brick warehouses to the wild banks of the Eno River.
Throughout the gallery, visitors can also enjoy work by ten Triangle-based artists, offering a refreshing mix of painting, sculpture, fused glass, mixed media and finely crafted furniture, with each artist bringing a distinct creative perspective. Join for the Opening Reception on Friday, Sept. 18, from 6-9 p.m. to meet the artist. “Durham Sweet Durham” runs from Sept. 17-Oct. 10.
