Skip to main contentNorth Carolina’s Mallarme Music in partnership with UNC-CH Music presents From Vienna to Fifth Avenue: Piano duos, featuring Clara Yang, Yuki Negishi and UNC Kenan Scholar Anna Bray, Oct. 9, at Moeser Auditorium in Hill Hall.
What happens when two – or even three – musicians share a single piano? The answer can be surprising: an instrument we usually think of as a solo voice suddenly becomes an orchestra, a ballet company, a jazz band or even a full symphonic ensemble. This program celebrates the remarkable possibilities of the piano duo and the sheer theatricality of music made by four and six hands. Join UNC-CH professor Clara Yang and guest artist Yuki Negishi in exploring the world of piano duos, with a few cameos by Carolina students!
