National Root Beer Float Day

Celebrate National Root Beer Float Day all month long at 10th & Terrace. In honor of National Root Beer Float Day, 10th & Terrace will serve delicious root beer floats to benefit Duke Children’s Hospital, a local member of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, throughout the month of August.

Root Beer Float Day holds special meaning to hotels that are part of the Marriott family like Residence Inn Raleigh Downtown as it harkens back to 1927, when Marriott founders, J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott, opened a small A&W Root Beer stand to escape the Washington, D.C. heat. Today, it’s time to carry on their legacy by offering root beer floats supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a cause close to Marriott’s heart since 1983.

Indulge in your choice of an alcoholic or non-alcoholic root beer float at 10th & Terrace during the month of August. A portion of the proceeds from every purchase will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network to help provide care to local kids. It’s time to make a splash for a great cause!
