Toastmasters is an international organization focused on improving members’ communication and leadership skills. It can be of immeasurable benefit to those who want to be able to communicate effectively at work, or in their community or organization.
Did you know that there are about 50 toastmasters clubs in the Triangle area, more than half open to anyone, and many others sponsored by companies? They meet in person or virtually, and some as hybrid meetings.
This Toastmasters group will be holding an Open House demonstration of these skills on Oct. 6 at the NC Biotech Center in RTP. Come and see Alicia Hughes energize the audience with “The Power of One Decision”, and participate in a demonstration of impromptu speaking (one to two minutes). The event will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m., and you can mingle with the speaker and other toastmasters to learn more afterwards over snacks and drinks.
