Visitors can print and play in the darkroom during OPEN STUDIO days. Chemicals (Sprint Systems) are pre-mixed and arranged in 11-by-14 trays. All participants need to bring are their negatives and paper (maximum size 11-by-14). Enlargers can accommodate 35mm, medium and large format (4-by-5) negatives. The rest is up to the participant!
This is not an instructional session. DARKROOM PRINTING, CRASH COURSE or equivalent experience are prerequisites for this session.
Participants are asked to let the studio know IN ADVANCE (at least 24 hours) if they plan on making fiber-based prints or wish to develop film: studio@photofarmnc.com. Those planning to develop their own film are limited to a maximum of three 35mm rolls or two 120 rolls ($10 chemical fees apply to additional rolls). Participants should bring their own developing tank.
