Pittsboro Gallery of Arts Celebrates 6 Years of Creativity in the Community

Pittsboro Gallery of Arts will host a Makers Celebration of art demonstrations, entertainment, refreshments and community on Friday, Oct. 16, from 5-8 p.m. PGA opened its doors as an artist-owned fine art and craft gallery six years ago and has become a vibrant part of the Pittsboro community. This celebration will have something for everyone. Artist members will offer live demonstrations of painting, pastel painting, photography, hand-building with clay, mixed-media assemblage and painted gourd creation. Singer and songwriter (and glass artist!) Janet Place will give a live performance. A special display of small treasures will be available for purchase, as well as the beautiful works always on display in the gallery. Great food, drinks, art and companionship will combine to make this a wonderful night!

The Pittsboro Gallery of Arts is an artist-owned cooperative fine art and craft gallery located a few steps north of the Chatham County Courthouse circle. Artist works include a variety of media: oil, acrylics, watercolor, high-voltage woodburning, wooden mobiles, pastel, pen and ink, photography, fused glass, ceramics, jewelry, basketry, painted gourd vessels and sculptural works in clay and wood.
