Skip to main contentLooking for a fun and relaxing way to celebrate the holiday season during the week? The Sensory-Friendly Winter Rides will take place Wednesday, Dec. 9. These special midweek rides are ideal for school groups, senior centers, families and anyone who prefers a calmer holiday experience.
Guests can choose from departures at 10:30 a.m. or noon and enjoy a scenic train ride through a beautifully decorated railway, complete with festive Christmas lights and holiday displays in a peaceful setting. To help create a more comfortable experience for all guests, the train crew will provide advance notice before the locomotive horn is sounded.
Santa will not be riding the train during these special departures because he will be back at the North Pole tending to the reindeer. Even without Santa onboard, guests can enjoy the magic of the season while traveling through festive holiday displays aboard the vintage train.
Last year’s Winter Ride was a guest favorite, so a second departure has been added this year to welcome more guests. Guests are encouraged to reserve their seats early for a memorable holiday outing in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.
