The multi-movement dramatic cantata features music by Black composer Steve Milloy, a libretto by Kim Hines and dramaturgy by Jane Ramseyer Miller.

In partnership with the Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice, housed in Murray’s childhood home in Durham, Common Woman Chorus will present the performance at the historic Hayti Heritage Center.
Through music and storytelling, the production celebrates Murray’s extraordinary legacy while inviting audiences to reflect on the ongoing pursuit of justice, equality and belonging in the community.
