Skip to main contentSouthern Documentary Fund launches its inaugural celebration of documentary storytelling across the American South, bringing filmmakers, artists and audiences together at the Durham Arts Council for screenings, panels and conversations. The festival puts Durham in the frame with films made in, about or connected to the city, including “Humble in the Jungle,” directed by Ricky Kelly and “Becoming Yamazushi” by G Yamazawa. The lineup also highlights feature-length documentaries, short films curated by PBS’ “Reel South” series, filmmaker Q&As and a live musical performance.
