The Works of Rita Baldwin and Debbie Englund

The Pittsboro Gallery of Arts will feature a special exhibition showcasing the work of painter Rita Baldwin and ceramic artist Debbie Englund from Nov. 3 through Nov. 22.

Baldwin creates oil landscape paintings inspired by nature, focusing on capturing the mood and emotional impact of each scene. Her recent work incorporates palette knives, shapers and large brushes to create more textured, expressive and painterly landscapes.

Englund creates ceramic vessels inspired by nature, particularly botanical forms. Her work emphasizes organic shapes, rich textures and earthy elegance. She uses a variety of firing and finishing techniques to reflect the diversity she sees in the natural world.

The gallery invites visitors to celebrate the two artists, whose work shares a common inspiration in nature while expressing it through different mediums.

The Pittsboro Gallery of Arts is an artist-owned cooperative featuring a wide range of fine art and craft media, including painting, ceramics, photography, glass, jewelry, woodwork and sculpture.
