Join Durham Arts Council for a special early edition of the monthly Third Friday Gallery Reception.
In observance of Juneteenth, Durham Arts Council will be closed on Friday, June 19. To continue this longstanding community tradition, gather one day early on Thursday, June 18, for an evening of art, conversation and community. Celebrate new exhibitions, connect with artists and experience the creativity that makes Durham’s arts scene so vibrant.
Celebrate two NEW exhibitions at the DAC:
Da Da Da: Trios by Jennifer Clifton
Through sculpture, drawing and installation, Jennifer Clifton explores repetition, pattern and connection, inviting viewers to consider the relationships formed through groupings of three.
Rewoven: What We Leave Behind by Jen Stone
This mixed-media textile exhibition examines memory, loss and resilience through fiber-based works that reflect on the marks left behind and the stories that continue to shape us.
And don’t miss your last chance to see Natural/Unnatural, presented by the Durham Art Guild, this exhibition features works by Emily Clare and Kelsey Merreck Wagner that explore the intersections and tensions between the natural and constructed worlds.
