Participants can lace up their sneakers and grab their favorite four-legged companion for the Annual Vets To Vets United 5K9 Dog Jog! Taking place Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at the scenic WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, this event is the perfect blend of community fitness, family festival and a deeply meaningful cause.

Every dollar raised directly benefits Vets To Vets United, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit that rescues shelter dogs and trains them to become life-changing service and therapeutic animals for disabled veterans.

Event Highlights

The Course: A unique 5K mixed-terrain cross-country course blending open fields and natural trails. The course is perfect for runners, joggers, walkers and cheerleaders of all ages and skill levels.

Dog-Friendly Fun: Participants can bring their pups along to jog by their side or come solo — everyone is welcome with or without a dog.

Festival Village: Guests can enjoy a lively, festival-style atmosphere featuring product vendors, local veteran organizations, a live DJ, delicious snacks and water stations.
