Take a trip back to baseball’s beginnings at the Historic Durham Athletic Park, where Duke Homestead invites guests to enjoy America’s pastime – old-school style. Players take the field in period uniforms, use historic equipment and follow original 1860s rules to recreate the sights and rhythms of the sport’s earliest era. Cheer on the Duke Homestead team as they take on the Rockingham, Virginia, Shiners – plus a special team from the Durham Fire Department. Spectators are encouraged to don their favorite vintage fashion and munch on old-fashioned concessions and treats. Batter up!
