Wake County

History and elegance converge at Paschal Golf Club, nestled in the Downtown Wake Forest Historic District. This public course boasts 18 holes where legendary golfer Arnold Palmer once honed his skills while attending Wake Forest University. His legacy is also felt at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course at NC State University, the only collegiate golf course in the world that he designed.

For those seeking a modern twist, Raleigh’s Wildwood Green Golf Club provides both men’s and women’s leagues, ensuring inclusive play opportunities.

Knight’s Play Golf Center in Apex features 27 holes to help players at any experience level practice their game. The facility is fully illuminated, enabling players to continue into the evening hours. The center also has 60 driving range stations and offers clinics for youth players as well as women and men.

Drive Shack in Raleigh is a high-tech driving range with food, drinks, games and events. In Wake Forest, semiprivate Heritage Golf Course offers a driving range, private teaching tee and putting green.

Situated on one of the highest points in Wake Forest, Brevofield Golf Links offers a scenic view and a course for golfers of any skill level.

Dogwood Country Club in Raleigh is an immersive golf experience providing indoor golf simulation for individuals and groups, private lessons and more, all in a swanky setting with a full bar.

Durham County

Golf aficionados can enjoy the challenges of Hillandale Golf Course’s driving range before playing the 18-hole course, which also features four teeing areas, a pro shop and grill.

Just adjacent to Duke University’s campus, the public Duke University Golf Club offers expansive practice facilities and a golf shop to cater to enthusiasts’ needs. The public club has more than 20 acres of practice facilities, a pro shop and driving range.

In north Durham, the Umstead Pines Golf and Swim Club (formerly Willowhaven Country Club) is equipped with an 18-hole golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts and clubhouse.

Orange County

Chapel Hill Country Club is the only private club in Chapel Hill and features 18 holes, scenic views and top-notch instruction from PGA professionals. The club just celebrated 100 years.

Located southeast of UNC’s campus, UNC Finley Golf Course is home to collegiate tournaments, including an NCAA men’s regional qualifying tournament in 2015, and features a practice range.

Occoneechee Golf Club is a semi-private course in Hillsborough and is home to the Occoneechee Golf Association, which was founded in 1968. Tee times can be booked online in advance for the 18-hole course.

Chatham County

Round out the Triangle golf experience with Siler City Country Club‘s comprehensive golf academy, providing lessons for adults and juniors alike.

The Golf Club at Chapel Ridge stands as a testament to golfing excellence, with its signature 18-hole course and state-of-the-art practice range, short game area, clubhouse and golf shop in Pittsboro.

The Preserve at Jordan Lake Golf Club is a semi-private Davis Love III signature course just south of Chapel Hill that offers coaching and lessons.

The nationally-recognized Governors Club golf course is the only gated golf community and private club in the Triangle. The neighborhood is built around an award-winning 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course; non-residents can apply for club membership.
