How to Play your Medicine Drum Workshop

In this two-hour workshop, participants will learn how to play, place, tune and care for their medicine drums. The workshop will open with a prayer of gratitude and a brief history of shamanism, the purpose of this healing art, and how and why shamanic drumming is considered a potent practice for body healing.

Participants will learn how to tune the drums for proper sound and pitch. They also will experience a sound bath journey from Michael and his team, including what to expect and how to shamanic journey. Guided instruction will include how to facilitate integration and interpretation of the journey.

Each participant will have dedicated time to practice what they have learned. This hands-on, immersive workshop provides the science, techniques, beauty and confidence to bring this practice to themselves, friends, family and their community.

Participants can bring their own drums if they have one. Plenty of drums also will be provided for use and will be available for purchase for those who are interested.
