Have you always wanted to join a Stitch-n-Bitch, but you just don’t connect with the Bitch part? Think of this group as a Stitch-n-Breathe. Leaving politics, divisiveness, and the mess of the outer world at the door and convening in space of meditation, mindfulness and connection around what is being created. This group offers the opportunity for participants to bring the practice of mindful meditation and hand sewing together in a relaxed group setting. If you would like to extend your spiritual practice further into your creative expression, this group is for you.

They will begin each group with a reading of a phrase of poetry and 10 minute meditation focused on settling into the present using the breath and the body. Then, for the duration of the time you will sew together as a group doing any type of hand sewing you prefer – clothing mending or embroidery, or whatever you like. Pre-registration is required. Please bring hand sewing supplies and a few pieces of clothing to mend or embroider on.
