Skip to main contentMoving for Better Balance is an evidence-based fall-prevention program that uses the principles and movements of Tai Chi to help older adults improve balance and build confidence for everyday activities.
A trained instructor leads the program, focusing on improving functional ability to reduce fall-related risks and the frequency of falls among older adults with low to moderate fall risk.
Moving for Better Balance is a 12-week program that meets twice a week for 24 sessions. Each session is one hour. Sessions begin in February, June and September.
Programs require a minimum number of registrants. Program days and times are subject to change. The YMCA will notify enrollees of any changes.
